Name one person you've met that doesn't like pasta.

We can't come up with one either.

With the weather getting colder, we're craving more comfort food and so we took a look at London's best pasta restaurants! London has an incredible amount of diverse restaurants that make choosing one a timely and daunting task. To save you scrolling time, read on for our favourite tips for the best pasta in London.

Padella

If you are a foodie, Padella should not come as a surprise to you, as it is included in most of London's top pasta recommendations. For good reason: Located right next to Borough market, Padella offers several home-made pasta dishes on the (very) cheap.

Be warned: Lines can get extremely long. Thank goodness there's an app for that: WalkIn let's you queue remotely and sends status updates about your queue position! Try the pici cacio e pepe and pappardelle with 8 hours dexter beef shin ragu!

Padella, 6 Southwark St, London SE1 1TQ

Mon - Sat: 12-3:45pm & 5-10pm

Sun: 12-3:45pm & 5-9pm

Mele e Pere

Run by three brothers, Mele e Pere is a friendly neighbourhood trattoria bringing tasty northern Italy cuisine to London. Their pasta dishes are made fresh every day with British produce and Italian ingredients aiming to give you an authentic experience.

Especially loved are the orecchiette with pork and fennel ragu and tagliatelle with wild mushrooms!

Flour and Grape

Flour & Grape punches its weight in the Padella category. Very reasonably priced, tasty food without the enormous long wait times you'd encounter at Padella. Offering nine pasta dishes, there is something to be found for every mood and taste.

Their standout dish is tortelloni with roasted pork shoulder and sage butter. So good!

Polpo

Polpo is a classic, venetian inspired restaurant serving simple food by offering tasty and small plates to share. Try the beef shin ragu with strozzapreti, beef & pork meatballs with spaghetti and crab & chilli linguine to treat your tastebuds!

La Mia Mamma

La Mia Mamma is a unique restaurant redefining 'traditional family meals' and ranks very high on our list! La Mia Mamma flies in their 'Mammas' from 20 different regions of Italy to create a selection of great tasting regional dishes that rotate every three months - so you can taste all of Italy and experience different authentic dishes throughout the year.

Some have said their cacio e pepe is the best in all of London. Go and see for yourself!

Salotto 31

A spacious restaurant with lots of traditional Italian dishes that won't leave you hanging. Eating at Salotto 31 isn't just for your tastebuds - it is a unique fusion of italian excellence - from the busy kitchens to the eye catching dishes and immaculate dining area.

We love their truffle ricotta and mushroom tortelli.

Bancone

Many high-concept, experimental new pasta ventures fail within the first 12 months. This is not the case with highly regarded Bancone, as it sits right amongst the likes of Padella and can hold its weight. Affordable prices and a straight-forward ambience make it a London classic.

Try their fazzoletti, aka silk handkerchiefs, walnut butter & confit egg yolk!

Bancone, 39 William IV St, Charing Cross, London WC2N 4DD

Coco di Mama

Serving fast and fresh Italian-inspired food, Coco di Mama is London's leading Italian to go. Their pasta planner tool lets you select which size, type of pasta, sauce and toppings you would like. Each has a variety of options to select from and their sauces include two vegan alternatives!

Via Emilia

Via Emilia is a northern Italy food haven. Originating in the northern Emilia-Romagna region (egg pasta was invented here), Via Emilia is now using all products, recipes and drinks that come exclusively from this region. If you can resist, watch the fresh pasta dishes being made right in front of you while you wait.

You must try the Gnocco Fritto, a typical gently-fried bread!

Maximo Italian Bistrot

This traditional restaurant goes back to the basics, crafting up real food with real mediterranean flavours. The menu changes every week with different Italian regional hand-made dishes and is a favourite amongst many.

Satisfy your childhood cravings by choosing tagliatelle alla bolognese or penne arrabbiata!
