International Women's Day 2024: Inspire Inclusion | Just Eat for Business

International Women's Day takes place on Friday 8th March - the theme this year is #InspireInclusion.

While great strides have been made for women's equality throughout the years, women are still sadly underrepresented in the food industry.  Did you know that the share of women-led top restaurants in the UK is just 8%? Source: Restaurant Online, 2022 .

For the vast majority of businesses, diversity and inclusivity are considered to be fundamental pillars of progress. The theme for this year's International Women’s Day, #InspireInclusion, serves as a reminder to champion inclusivity, as it helps to foster innovation, creativity, and collective growth.

Sadly, women still encounter barriers at work that hinder them. Whether it's the gender pay gap or lack of representation in leadership roles, the journey towards equality is far from over. For #InternationalWomensDay 2024, individuals, communities and industry leaders are being called on to #InspireInclusion and push for gender parity at home, in the community and at work. 

Because when women are inspired to be included, it helps to create a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment.
